Garage Door Panel Replacement

Single-panel and multi-panel replacement. Color-matched to your existing door so the repair disappears into the original.

Garage Door Panel Replacement

A dented or broken panel doesn’t always mean you need a new door. In most cases, the damaged section can be replaced on its own — and with the right color match, the repair is invisible from the street.

Finding the right panel

We start by identifying your door’s manufacturer, product line, and color code. Clopay, Wayne Dalton, Amarr, and Haas all maintain extensive panel inventories, and we order direct so the replacement matches what you already have.

When replacement makes more sense

If the panel you need has been discontinued, or if the damage extends across multiple sections, we’ll give you an honest comparison between patching the existing door and replacing it. Sometimes a new door with a warranty is the better investment.

Signs you need this service

  • Dent from a vehicle impact or storm damage
  • Panel cracked or split along the seam
  • Bottom panel rotted from standing water or salt
  • Paint flaking or heavily oxidized on a south-facing door
  • Missing panel hardware causing rattle or sagging

What we do

  1. Identify the panel manufacturer and match color and texture
  2. Order the correct replacement panel from the manufacturer
  3. Remove the damaged section without disturbing adjacent panels
  4. Install and align the new panel to the existing door
  5. Touch up paint at seams where needed for a clean finish

Frequently asked questions

Can a single damaged panel be replaced without replacing the whole door?

Yes, in most cases. As long as the panel is still available from the manufacturer and the rest of the door is structurally sound, single-panel replacement is the right call.

How long does it take to get a replacement panel?

Common colors and styles ship within a few days. Specialty colors, woodgrain finishes, and discontinued lines can take 1–2 weeks or longer on special order.

How close will the color match be?

For doors under 5 years old, factory-matched panels are typically indistinguishable from the original. Older doors may show some weathering difference, which we'll discuss before ordering.

At what point is it smarter to replace the whole door?

If the panel you need is discontinued, if multiple panels are damaged, or if the door is already over 15 years old, a full replacement often costs less over time than piecing it back together.
