Lift cables and rollers are the parts that actually move the door — when they wear out, the whole system becomes unreliable and unsafe. Frayed cables can snap under load; worn rollers make the door bind, tilt, and eventually come off the track entirely.
Catching problems before they become emergencies
Cables rarely fail all at once. Fraying starts at the attachment points and works inward. If you can see individual strands separating, the cable is past its service life. Rollers give warning too — noise and wobble show up long before they actually fail. Both are inexpensive repairs when caught early.
What the job looks like
We replace lift cables in matched pairs, re-seat them on the drums, and check alignment across the full travel of the door. Rollers are swapped out and the tracks are lubricated so everything moves smoothly. The job typically takes 45–75 minutes.
